Multitimeframe Moving Average Direction Oscillator

Nikolay.Gekht · Fri Apr 23, 2010 12:27 pm

EURUSD m1 (04-04-2017 1103).png

The oscillator show the direction (up or down) of four moving averages (the method and parameter can be chosen for each moving average individually). Each of these moving averages can be applied at the specified time frame (the time frame must be the same or bigger than the chart time frame).

The direction is shown as green (up) or red (down) square, the first moving average is the highest square, the last - is the lowest square:

Download:

mtf_mva_dir.lua

The indicator was revised and updated

this indicator doesn’t work properly. the moving average indicators for the higher timeframes show incorrect values when running real time. after a while when you refresh the chart the higher time frame values correct themselves. real time, however, the data is useless.

can this be fixed?

yes when can this be fixed? also can a signal be created to alert when both this indicator and the ehler jecog heatmap have turned all the same color? when both indicator lines are red then I would like to know same for green as well. all lines would need to be same color or we could choice which lines we want to alert us

Added to developmental cue. But I do not know when it will be fulfilled, we have an epidemic here. Epidemic of requests.

i have two requests.

1-)Can you add horizontal shift option to calculate averages? 2-)Can you add some calculation options like “MTF Overview indicator” viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2717&p=10263&hilit=overview#p10263

-The growth or decline of the moving average. -Growth or decline in the closing price. -Does the price is above or below average. (Expecially please add this one!)

First. Yes.

Second Calculation options?

-The growth or decline of the moving average. -Growth or decline in the closing price. -Does the price is above or below average. (Expecially please add this one!)

MTF Overview indicator have all three.

Can you further elaborate your Request.

i know it has all three but i want to see indicator’s past performance too.”MTF overview” just display arrows for last bars conditions.it’s not possible to see what was in the past. But Multitimeframe Moving Average Direction Oscillator shows green or red dots for every past bar so its possible.

Shortly i want a “mtf overview” indicator which looks like “Multitimeframe Moving Average Direction Oscillator”. +Plus horizontal shift options for averages added. is this possible?

COULD YOU TURN THE MTF HA CANDLE INDICATOR ARROWS INTO A HEATMAP THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS. I LIKE THE MTF HA ARROWS BUT IT DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO LOOK AT PAST DATA TO SEE WHEN THEY ALL LINE UP AND BECAME THE SAME COLOR IN THE PAST. THANKS ALOT.

Hi Peoples – especially Nikolay: -

On Apr 23 2010 Nikolay published mtf_mva_dir.lua – by the number of downloads it has been fairly popular but on Aug 09 2010 “jefftrader” highlighted major problems… were these ever fixed?

Other persons made further requests for various improvements and tweaks but the .lua seems to have “morphed” into MTF Overview.lua MTF Overview Oscillator.lua MTF and Overview Heat_Map.lua which have sort of lost the initial plot – it gets worse as it digresses to the Heikin-Ashi MFT HA.lua to the SuperTrend.lua

Where’s all this leading??? – PLEASE could someone give me a link to the latest bug-free version of the mtf_mva_dir.lua – thank you, Bebbspoke

Hi Folks - further to my request of Tues 06 Dec: - I would v. much like the subject MMADO to also (selectably) work with DEMA and TEMA options, thank you…

Can we please request a MTF MCP Moving Average Heatmap. Can we please add the support of ILRS moving average to the list of averages I see supported on the MTF OVERVIEW Heat Map.

Thanks!

Hi Jackfx09 et al; -

I strongly urge you to read my last comments on viewtopic.php?f=30&t=6541&start=0 - the heat map for ALL EXCEPT the BASE time frame can ONLY be retrospective.

This is an exceedingly enticing trap into which it is very easy to fall… - if you believe you have identified a strategy using historic multi-timeframe heat maps PLEASE have the patience to sit and WATCH for the same to occur in REAL time - do not spend too long because it will NEVER occur…

Cheers, Bebbspoke
